Kill the Justice League’s 4th season will be its last. Offline mode arrives tomorrow – WGB

Must Read

I think it’s fair to say that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been a failure for Warner Bros and Rocksteady. The publisher openly admitted that the game had not reached expectations, and has remained quiet as to how many copies the game has sold. Unsurprisingly then, Rocksteady has announced that the upcoming season 4 will be the game’s last.

Honestly, kudos to them for sticking with it this long. I actually did play the game and was so whelmed I couldn’t even be bothered writing a review for it, although I did genuinely think the acting was fun and there were a lot of fun moments between the team members. Considering how cheap you can pick up the game, it might actually be worth it for a laugh.

Season 4, Episode 7 will drop tomorrow on December 10th, adding in Deathstroke as a playable character alongside a brand new offline mode.

“Offline mode will allow you to experience content released for the game, including the main story campaign and all seasonal story mission content, without an internet connection,” says the official blog post. “To access Offline mode, you can either create a new profile by starting from the beginning of the game or create a copy of your existing Online profile, allowing you to jump in with all of your progress. All earned and purchased cosmetics will also be available in Offline mode.”

Alongside that, a new locale is included in Episode 7.

“This Elseworld completely reconceives Superman’s hometown of Smallville as a medieval village, completely stripped of the advanced technology that empowers the modern day Justice League. While fighting against Brainiac during Incursions, you’ll be able to see the remnants of the locals’ battle against Brainiac, windmills and homes from a complete medieval village, and even the Hall of Justice reimagined as a feudal castle.”

New weapons will also be added.

Season 4, Episode 8 will land in January and will mark the end of the game’s support with no further content planned. However, to Rocksteady and Warner Bros’ credit, the game’s servers will remain up, letting you enjoy co-op with the few people who are still playing. The inclusion of an offline mode strongly hints that those servers will be taken down at some point though, which is understandable.
