Let’s do a Valentine’s day craft!

Bible Valentine’s Day Craft

Valentine’s day is all about love. And who loves us more than God? It’s good to be reminded of God’s love and how His love helps us love. This craft is simple, fun, and will allow children to practice fine motor skills.

Younger children may need help writing, but they can paint in the hearts. We used acrylic paints, but paint pens may make this easier.

How To Do This Bible Valentine Craft

Step 1

Bible Valentine Craft- Step 1-Chalk board with pencil writing - Kids Activities blog
Write out the Bible verse you want and draw the hearts in pencil.

Write out the words and pictures you want on your chalk board. We drew lines and connected hearts. Drew hearts and added strings for balloons and wrote out 1 John 4:19, “We love because He first loved us.”

Step 2

Paint over it with your paints or paint pens. Outline everything with white first.

Craft Notes:

If you’re using acrylic paints you may need 2 coats. I would also suggest filling in the hearts with white.

Why Is It Important For Kids To Learn The Bible?

If your family is rooted in faith, it’s important that your child learn to build a strong and lasting relationship with the Lord.

Proverbs 22:6 says: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Teaching your child about God’s promises and love is a way to help them get through scary and hard times as they grow. Because let’s be honest, growing up is hard. Knowing the Bible provides a number of benefits like:

  • Getting saved and being closer to God
  • Provides a moral compass
  • Teaches endurance through lessons
  • Builds faith
  • Builds character
  • Teaches compassion, patience, kindness, forgiveness, mercy
  • Offers comfort
  • Offers hope
  • Understand God’s love, promises, and character
  • Provides a foundation for doing what’s right
  • Helps shape a positive worldview

Our Experience With This Valentine’s Day Craft

We love God and we love everyone in our house, and Valentine’s day but that’s mostly for the candy. But, I want my kids to be reminded of God’s love and that we need to love people beyond Valentine’s day.

Love, real kind love, is important in making the world a better place. And why not love the world and everyone in it this Valentine’s day? We had fun making the craft, though, as I said before I think paint pens would have been easier. But it turned out cute nonetheless.

We hope your family has as much fun as ours did making this fun Bible Valentine craft.
