What’s the difference between Paramount Plus Essential and Paramount Plus Premium?
Both Paramount Plus Essential and Paramount Plus Premium are available in monthly and annual payment options. The Essential plan, which typically costs $7.99 a month or $59.99 a year, offers access to the streamer’s entire on-demand catalog and select live sports supported by ads.
The Premium Plan, which typically costs $12.99 a month or $119.99 a year, is ad-free, except for live programming. It also gives you live access to your local CBS station and Showtime’s full library of titles, including hits like “Yellowjackets,” “Dexter,” and more. This tier was formerly called Paramount Plus with Showtime.
Keep in mind that only the annual versions of the Essential and Premium Plans are included in the current promotion, so monthly subscribers will not be eligible for the 50% off discount. Even without the deal, we suggest subscribing to one of the annual plans, as they offer a much better value.
