Supplies Needed To Make This Pocket Puzzle
How To Make This Pocket Puzzle Game
Step 1
Take the protective paper off your magnet sheet and stick the foam on it.
Craft Notes
You can cut them in smaller sheets so you can avoid excess waste.
Step 2
Now, put your graph paper over your foam/magnet sheet.
Step 3
Cut out shapes for your puzzle game following the lines on the graph paper.

Think of shapes that will fit together. You can use other games for inspiration like “Tetris” or “Puzzle League”. Just shapes that fit together.
How To Modify This Pocket Puzzle Game For Younger Kids
If you have smaller kids you can make the pieces bigger. Use a metal lunchbox instead of a mint tin to hold the pieces.
How To Modify This Pocket Puzzle Game For Older Kids
Make the game harder once they get good pairing the shapes. Add the rule that the pieces of the same color can’t touch. Or perhaps have them try to make a picture with the pieces instead of using as a puzzle.
Fun Modification For This Pocket Puzzle Craft
If you use stronger magnetic paper you can make puzzle pizzas for the fridge. You can use them to hold notes and pictures or they can keep your little ones busy while you’re cooking.
Our Experience With This Pocket Puzzle
We had so much fun with this activity. My older kids didn’t have too much trouble making shapes out of the paper, however, I did have to help the younger ones which is okay. I did find my little ones also had a harder time with the smaller puzzles, but did better once we made bigger pieces.
We like making sure everyone is involved and can enjoy these activities we do. And like I said previously, kids are learning the fun way. And I always want that for them. We also made a big set for the fridge. At first I thought it would be a fun way to play as a family, and then they started playing with it while I cooked.
That way they could be near me while I cook or clean and not be underfoot. So it worked out. I hope your kids have as much as mine did with this pocket puzzle game.
