It’s the afternoon of Prime Day day, that means the clock is ticking on the Amazon Prime Day sales—including the best Prime Day Deals under $25 for your kitchen.
You can still stock up on everything you need to make the most of what’s left of beach, picnic, and barbecue season. This is your best chance to snag some kitchen essentials at some of the lowest prices of the year—at least until Black Friday comes along in the fall. As long as you have an Amazon Prime membership, you can take advantage of incredible deals on things like a fancy Samsung Frame TV, some Apple Airpod wireless earbuds, a KitchenAid stand mixer, a shiny new coffee maker, or a sleek cordless Dyson vacuum at serious discounts. But it’s also a prime (pun intended) opportunity to shop for smaller essentials for your home and kitchen. We’re talking practical cooking gadgets, storage containers, cleaning equipment, some of our favorite condiments and cookware at the lowest prices possible.
Even as the sale starts to wind down through the afternoon and evening we’ll still be online checking the deals on Amazon sales and at other retailers like Target, Walmart, and Best Buy (competitor deals have become quite common during Prime Day). And if you’re willing to spend a bit more on the best kitchen gear, be sure to check out our full list of the best Amazon Prime Day deals. But right now we recommend filling your cart with a few of these great deals under $25 first.

Best-selling cookbooks
While new gadgets, kitchen equipment and in-demand cookware tend to hog the spotlight throughout Amazon Prime Day, don’t forget about your bookshelf. There are tons of excellent best sellers available at up to 50% off for Prime Day, with the stand-out favorites below being a small sampling of all the excellent offerings. There’s Ken Forkish’s James Beard Award Winning baking guide to artisan bread and doughs—indispensable for anybody still feeding the starter in the back of their fridge. BA test kitchen alumns Sohla El-Waylly and Alison Roman both have discounted cookbooks full of simple-yet-impressive recipes to incorporate into your regular rotation. Also check out Erin French’s Big Heart, Little Stove for dozens of recipes adapted and inspired by the dishes she’s served throughout the years in her award-winning restaurant, The Lost Kitchen.
Kitchen necessities
You’re probably already adding replacement phone chargers, skin-care favorites, smart plugs, and light bulbs to your Amazon cart, but small kitchen tools are great sale day buys too. Get our all-time favorite spatula, a TikTok-famous vegetable chopper, and an old-school can and bottle opener that will make you wonder why people are still trying to improve upon a design that’s already pretty much perfect. A salad spinner might seem like a superfluous kitchen tool, but we can attest that once you have one, your salad-making life will be changed forever.
Cookware and bakeware
Amazon Prime Day is the perfect opportunity to score a major discount on expensive investment cookware like an All-Clad set or a Le Creuset Dutch oven, but expensive doesn’t always equal better when it comes to pots and pans. If you follow our expert shopping advice, you can get a cast-iron skillet you can pass down to your grandkids or a nonstick pan that will help you make chef-worthy scrambled eggs for under $25. We also recommend getting a few tiny pans for single-servings and small portions, like the GreenPan mini egg pan or a tiny cocotte from the maker of our favorite Dutch ovens (these are perfect for baked eggs and mini casseroles).
Tiny kitchen gadgets
Even at their lowest prices of the year thanks to Prime Day Deals, most major kitchen appliances are still going to cost more than $25, but there are a few small but mighty gadgets that you can get for less. Though the DASH egg cooker is small, Bon Appétit staffers love how easy it makes hard-boiling eggs (they also have an ice cream maker on sale right now). A meat thermometer is nonnegotiable if you live in an omnivorous household, and one of our favorites is currently on sale for just $15—we recommend getting a spare to keep in your luggage for Airbnb grilling emergencies. And no matter what you like to cook, you absolutely need a kitchen scale, so get this one from KitchenAid while it’s available for under $30.
Plates and glassware
Now that you have everything you need to make a delicious home-cooked meal, you’ll want some nice things to serve it on. We love this set of ceramic pasta bowls because even though pasta is in the name, you can (and should) use them for everything, and we mean everything. Ice cream? Salad? Yogurt and granola? Plating some kind of vegetable purée and a perfect slice of medium rare meat like you’re a chef at a fancy New American restaurant? Yes, yes, yes, and yes. You can also get a proper set of matching wine glasses—we recommend a shatterproof plastic set and a some melamine plates if you like to eat outside or have kids in your home. While you’re at it, pick up a nice candle to make your home smell nice the moment your dinner guests arrive.
Cleaning and storage
Cleanup is one of the least fun parts of the cooking process, but Prime Day is the best time to re-up everything you’ll need to keep your kitchen in tip-top shape. Get one of our favorite powder cleaners or some new sponges. For storage, you can’t go wrong with some silicone Stasher bags or Bee’s Wrap for leftovers.
Accessories for your splurge-worthy appliances
Though something like a KitchenAid stand mixer or an espresso machine will certainly cost well over $25, there are a few accessories you can get to go along with your existing appliances or maybe your big new Prime Day purchase. Maybe get a milk frother to complete the morning routine you’re going to start when you get your new Moccamaster. If you anticipate drinking lots of iced coffee, you can also get a HyperChiller to ensure your cup of joe maintains your desired temperature throughout your morning commute. Throw a few air fryer liners in your cart to go along with that Cosori Lite, or opt for a crisper tray to turn your existing oven into an air fryer if it has a convection setting. And don’t forget to grab an extra flex edge beater or two to have on hand for your KitchenAid.
Sales on snacks, drinks, and ingredients
While kitchen tools, gadgets, and cookware are definitely the hot ticket when it comes to sales, don’t sleep on any food discounts (especially considering grocery prices these days). Use this sales event as a way to treat Amazon like your online Costco, getting packs of Poppi and your favorite protein bars. Indulge in some gourmet truffle mayo to elevate your office sandwiches or some chili crunch to drizzle on your ramen. Speaking of ramen, don’t forget to grab a pack of these Bon Appétit staff–approved noodles to keep on hand when you need a meal in a pinch.
Outdoor cooking and entertaining essentials
’Tis the season for summer barbecues, park picnics, and all-day patio hangs. Prime Day is a great excuse to stock up on all of the little things make for an ideal outdoor cooking and eating experience: Things like a waterproof picnic blanket that won’t get destroyed when you inevitably spill your Lambrusco all over it, or a set of grill lights so you’ll never need to juggle cooking a steak while holding a flashlight again. And if you’re planning to man the grill in the daytime, a good sunscreen is a must.
Deals at other retailers
Amazon’s not the only site with heavy discounts this week. These days, competitor retailers tend to have sale events around the same time, so it’s always worth it to check out what’s on offer at places like Target and Walmart. Here are a few of the best kitchen deals under $25 we’ve found so far beyond the realm of Amazon—things like an electric kettle that performed well in Epicurious’s testing, or a Moka pot that’ll help you make a close approximation to espresso without the need for a fancy (and pricey!) machine. If you’re all set on the coffee and tea front, a set of sturdy food storage containers is never a bad idea, especially when they’re marked down 20%.
