Mo Sylla: Dundee midfielder still in hospital after collapse

Must Read

Dundee midfielder Mo Sylla remains in Ninewell Hospital for further investigations after collapsing in the dressing room at half-time during his side’s 2-1 defeat by Aberdeen.

The 30-year-old Frenchman had played the first half of the Scottish Premiership encounter at Dens Park before falling ill.

Updating his condition on Sunday, Dundee stressed that on initially being attended to by the club’s medical team and paramedics and transferred to hospital, he had been “responsive and talking to those around him” at the emergency department.

Manager Tony Docherty said immediately after the game: “Mo took a turn at half-time in front of his team-mates and it wasn’t a nice thing to see.

“The medics were involved and we had to get the players out of there.

“He’s responsive up in the hospital at the moment. So we’ll just need to assess it and see how he is over the weekend.”

Sylla joined Dundee last August, having previously played for Oldham Athletic, Aldershot and Hartlepool United.
