Following the disastrous Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, it is being claimed that developer Rocksteady is working on something Batman related.
That’s according to Xbox Era co-founder and podcaster Shpeshal_Nick who has a somewhat spotty track record when it comes to insider information.
Replying to a Game Awards tweet asking people who their dream Batman game developer would be, Shpeshal_Nick said: “Not sure which studio people’s dream is, but I heard Rocksteady are back making it. I also think Sony are trying to moneyhat it lol”

Now, technically Rocksteady already are officially working on Batman since they are still support Suicide Squad which is a Batman IP and does feature the Caped Crusader. But in this context Nick is presumably referring to a Batman-centric game.
And given just how badly Suicide Squad flopped, costing Warner Bros. some $200 million and failing to meet its expectations, it does make sense for Rocksteady to return to what made them famous to begin with. Perhaps a new game in the Arkham series, or a remaster/remake of some sort?
The statement that Sony is trying to potentially secure some sort of exclusivity deal is very interesting indeed. If they pulled it off, they would have both Spider-Man AND Batman exclusive to their platform, which would be insane to even think about.
Still, this is just a rumour and its coming from source who is just as often wrong as he is right, so take it with a heap of salt.
