Dill Pickle Puffs, Gochujang Almonds, and More New Snacks to Try This August

Must Read

I know crackers made from chicken breast sound bizarre, but hear me out. Our team has been longtime fans of Wilde’s protein chips, so I was excited to see the brand turn its signature chicken-and-egg-white base into Cheez-It-style crackers. Unlike most cheese cracker imitators I’ve tried, these actually satisfy the same craving, thanks to real cheddar and Parmesan that deliver plenty of savory, umami flavor. The Gouda variety has a surprisingly smoky richness that pairs with the chicken base, but Hot Honey has become the office favorite for its balance of sweetness and heat. I’ve caught myself absentmindedly polishing off an entire bag at my desk more than once, then immediately reaching for another flavor. —Olivia Tarantino, senior shopping editor

Little Spoon Peanut Puffs

Little Spoon Original PB Peanut Puffs

While all of Little Spoon’s snacks proudly are marked “toddler approved,” they are also Kate- and BA team-approved. Their new peanut puffs, which come in both original peanut butter and peanut butter and strawberry variations, are our team’s current obsession. They get their peanut flavor from peanut flour and their fluffy crunch from a mixture of sorghum meal, chickpea flour, and avocado oil. Plus, I love that they’re sweetened with date powder. I might not have a toddler to feed these to, but if I did, the ingredients would pass the peanut-mom (get it?) test—and, most importantly, the puffs are simply downright delicious. —Kate Kassin, editorial operations manager
