PlayStation Plus free November games have been revealed, including a day one release – WGB

Must Read

As we enter another month it’s time for some “free” games courtesy of PlayStation Plus. These games will be available to download from November 5th until the end of the month for anyone with an active PlayStation Plus subscription. Even if you don’t intend to play them now, remember to add them to your library so you can download them in the future.

Death Note Killer Within leads the pack for this month. Announced today by Bandai Namco, Killer Within is a “first-ever social deduction game based on the legendary anime series.” Basically, it’s kind of like Among Us but with a Death Note paint job.

It supports up to 10 players and has cross-play.

“Split into two teams, players must uncover each other’s identities to eliminate L or seize the Death Note from Kira,” says the the official blurb. “Kira and L are equally matched, each hiding their true identity while battling for control over the game. Engage in a game of wits either as Kira and his follower, or L and the investigators, as both sides vie for the hidden Death Note, leading to a thrilling showdown of truth and deception until one team prevails.”

On top of that, you’ll also get Ghostwire Tokyo, a suitably horror-themed game given the time of year. Ghostwire Tokyo is, of course, from Tango Gameworks, the very same team that Microsoft shut down earlier this year before being subsequently bought by Krafton.

“Tokyo is overrun by deadly supernatural forces as a dangerous occultist causes the city’s population to vanish in an instant,” says the blurb. “Join forces with a powerful spectral entity on their quest for vengeance and master a powerful arsenal of abilities to unravel the dark truth behind the disappearance as you face the unknown in Ghostwire: Tokyo.”

Personally, I’m very excited to see Ghostwire Tokyo as I’ve never had the chance to play it, but have heard good things. Notably, it was on PlayStation Plus Extra a few months back before vanishing from the service like a…well, like a ghost.

Finally, there’s Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, the sequel to the excellent first game. This is another one I’m very excited to play because I haven’t had the chance yet, which is a shame because the first game is a genuinely good time.

“Race over 130 vehicles, including Hot Wheels Originals, Hot Wheels Monster Trucks, motorbikes and ATVs, each with their unique racing style, across multiple game modes and amazing environments. Upgrade vehicles with a dedicated skill tree that will directly affect their performance. Discover 5 brand new locations, master their secrets, and you’ll feel right at home both there and on the podium. Alternatively create the track of your dreams with the powerful Track Editor, or use the best creations from the community.”

What do you think of November’s lineup? Personally, I think this is a strong month. I’m not very interested in Death Note, but both Ghostwire and Hot Wheels are games I’ve been wanting to play for ages.
